Driven by seasonal, local ingredients, Lionfish serves modern coastal cuisine with fresh catches and prime cuts from Executive Chef Jose “JoJo” Ruiz. Most recently chef de cuisine at San Diego’s Ironside Fish & Oyster Bar, Ruiz’s unrivaled dedication to his craft and creativity earned him a spot on Eater National’s top 50 “Young Guns” list, identifying the “most promising up-and-coming talent in the national restaurant industry.” At Lionfish, Ruiz’s talent is on full display with sushi, seafood, and coastal cuisine on the menu in the airy, two-floor dining room. Distinctly San Diego-inspired dishes, many served family style, complement a selection of hand-crafted, seasonal cocktails. Lionfish is open for dinner only.
