Dining & Drink
Sagamore Pendry Baltimore is home to the city’s exceptional new dining and cocktail destinations, Rec Pier Chop House and The Cannon Room, located off Thames Street in the historic Fell’s Point neighborhood.
Rec Pier Chop House introduces award-winning chef Andrew Carmellini to Baltimore with a progressive, seasonally focused menu devoted to time-honored Italian cooking and the simple, but classic offerings that have made Carmellini one of the most notable names in Italian cuisine.
The Cannon Room, an American whiskey bar, derives its name from the mighty cannons that lived beneath Recreation Pier for centuries – a reminder of its storied past. The space houses an intimate bar featuring a carefully curated menu of bourbon, rye and premium whiskey in a setting rich with history and warmth.
An open-air courtyard, featuring a signature sculpture from renowned international artist Fernando Botero, allows hotel and Cannon Room guests an outdoor lush space for gathering while enjoying cocktails along with a Chef Carmellini crafted menu of dishes.
The hotel’s private pool deck offers a seasonal bar and grill with outdoor dining and lounging, set at the waters edge. The deck is perched at the end of Recreational Pier with an open-air, panoramic view of the harbor, marina and city skyline. Five outdoor cabanas sit poolside and inspire you to unwind with friends or relax in solitude, all while enjoying the view.

Welcome to Fell’s Point. Located in the southeastern part of Baltimore, this unique harborside community was initially developed by landowner William Fell in the early 1760s. From there it evolved from a forested agricultural area into a bustling, seafaring hub where some of the U.S. Navy’s first ships were built. After the War of 1812, Fell’s Point became the country’s second largest point of entry, surpassed only by New York’s Ellis Island. Today, Fell’s Point is recognized as one of the best-preserved historical areas in the country thanks to substantial revitalization efforts that have protected the historical integrity of the neighborhood, its properties and its prime harborside locale.
Baltimore’s dynamic neighboring areas feature historic and cultural destinations in close proximity to the hotel, offering some inspiring sightseeing to your visit. The Lexington Market, founded in 1872, features over 100 local vendors cooking flavors from around the world along with live music by local jazz bands. Station North, spanning the neighborhoods of Charles North, Greenmount West and Barclay, is home to a diverse collection of artist live-work spaces, galleries and businesses. Famed American poet Edgar Allen Poe’s former residence is now a National Historic Landmark, exceptionally preserved with an exhibit that tells the story of Poe’s life in Baltimore. Perhaps the most popular tourist attraction is Fort McHenry, used continuously by U.S armed forces througout World War I and by the Coast Guard in World War II. Baltimore’s unique offering of history and the arts offers a memorable experience during your time at Sagamore Pendry Baltimore.
